Sunshine

Here is our little Sunshine on graduation day. Auntie Kadie gave her a flower and baby Arianna loved it.

Little Girl Growning Up

What more can I say? BOO HOO
It was as much a milestone for me as it was for Kadie.
It's nice to be at this place in life, but I have to say that many many of the hopes and dreams I had for my family never came true. I thought I would be more active in designing my destiny, but that hasn't been true. Life has been a tiresome maze and obstacle coarse. I don't want to sound morose, because there is so much to be grateful for. I just wish a few things had happened, and now it is too late.

Remembering

On Sunday we went to Fort Custer National Cemetery with Dan and Marguerite. Dad and Marguerite's dad Joe are both buried there. Memorial weekend is the best time to go because the cemetery is decked out in flags, flowers and a strong sense of loss mingled with gratitude, honor, and love is thick in the air.

Full of Love

Marlene came for a visit over Memorial weekend. Sister and I took mom out to buy flowers. We found the most wonderful flower dealer south of Blissfield who has the most beautiful combination of flowers in hanging pots. We gasped at the loveliness! Of course we bought some. Just look at our trunk full of love.

A Blurr of Fun

My life has been so full that it has been impossible to keep the blog updated with all that has happened in my life. So here are some snapshots and captions. A Birthday Jam in Jammies

Rachel's birthday was in May so we had a pa-jammin party to celebrate. Kimmy was down to make it extra special. Kadie actually came which was very nice. Tina made the best soups on the planet. French onion, squash, and chicken noodle with homemade noodles. The chicken noodle was sublime.

No Time to Breath

It's been a long time since I've updated because my life has been overflowing with activity. Most of the activities have been required and worthwhile, but they have demanded an enormous amount of my time. The result is that there are parts of my life that I miss and crave with a deep hunger, like running. But, we are winding down the end of Kadie's senior year and it is bittersweet. Therefore, her schedule takes precedence over any of my wants.
We went from basketball to track with only two weeks in between. There have been three major art shows associated with the school within a two month span, and there is always my crazy three curriculum schedule.
I applied for grad school, but missed the deadline. However, I will start classes in the fall under non-graduate status and my graduate application packet will be reviewed in the fall for acceptance at EMU.
I went with Gwen and Beth to A2 over spring break and bought some fun things. I visited a button store, and a new fancy tea shop. I found two really special buttons, a glass tea pot warmer, fancy yummy teas, and a new gingerbread cookie cutter that looks like Big Boy streaking in a "keep on truckin'" gesture.
