Heirlooms

 The day after the wedding we had a brunch.  Kadie and Dan opened one gift.  It was quilt made by Aunt Nancy with some of her and grandma O's extra fabric.

I embroideried a path for the backside that resembles an inscription carved into an oak tree.  It says Dan and Kadie 4ever 6-7-13.

One day I found a used cedar chest (blanket chest) at a thrift shop.  Mom shared the cost with me and I re-painted, repaired and decorated it.  It's an interesting piece of furniture as it is built like a chest of drawers.
